Advantages: Some excellent bassy tracks with good beats and rythems
Disadvantages: is an old cd to have now

...This is an excellent album to buy if you are into jungle or drum and bass music. it has loads of diffent sounds and beats and is an altogether great uplifting cd to listen to. I have had this cd since it was first realeased in 2003 and have listened to it time and time again i have never got bored of the tracks. if you are into dnb then you will no dought of heard some of these tracks and know what i mean when i say that i feel this includes some of the best music around. Advantages: Very Few
Disadvantages: Drastic wrong-turn for Gary

...just washes over the listener, and we even get an "E-Z Rollers Remix" of an earlier track, "Can't Help Myself" to round off. This album borders on the criminal. The brilliant guitar-playing is still in there somewhere, and old Gary's voice - which he has worked hard on over the years - is now very pleasant to listen to. Advantages: If you like the Human League it's great
Disadvantages: So unoriginal

...influence, hear the crooning, hear the influence of Brian Wilson on the horns and the doo-wahs, but it still sounds like the Human League. On Easy it’s all there; funk yep got that, heard a little bit of soul there and there’s definitely something techno going on, but, wait a minute, doesn’t this sound like the Human League. Jacknife Lee is keen to distance himself from that other musical magpie Beck, there’s certainly some similarities with the little chap, but still… Say it once, say it twice, say it loud; sounding like the Human League isn’t a bad thing. Punk Rock High Roller is a fun, if not funny, album. Upbeat, quirky and terribly friendly, it makes a good listen. And besides, if Les Rythmes Digitales can make a career off the back of Nik Kershaw, then, I ask, why not?... Read review
