...but you'll probably find yourself skipping over the atmospheric tracks as theres just not enough going on to keep the listener interested.
I thought that Aenima and Lateralus suffered the same problem, but both of those also had enough brilliant songs to hold them up. Having said that, so does 10000 Days. The opener Vicarious is a blistering rocker and probably the most technical track on the album, this is followed by Jambi another really good heavy rocker.
Other stand out tracks for me are The Pot and Right In Two, but unfortunately its all broken up by seemingly pointless meandering tracks. Knowing Tool I'm sure they have some sort of deep meaning, but when the album runs to over an hour and a quarter why bother?
One thing I did really love about the packaging was the stereoscopic lenses, there is no other band who would think of that!
A great album but not enough of a step forward for such a cutting edge band.
