Advantages: Good Songs Disadvantages: Quite Dark In Places
...of both “ArabianNights” and “Fireworks” these are remixed versions of the original songs, where Siouxsie’s voice has been messed with. In particular on “ArabianNights” where lots of echoes have been added.
This digitally remastered CD gives a clearer, less fuzzy sound to the songs. It also comes with a Picture Booklet that is packed full of Photographs of the band from this era. Some of these are quite hilarious and there are also lyrics to each track.
Overall I think that “Juju” is an excellent Album and this was probably the studio Album that finally established the band as a credible force to be reckoned with. It is a welcome addition to my CD collection.
There are a few explicit lyrics and some four-letter outbursts but these are not excessive. Having said that however this is not a CD for the faint-hearted and Parental Guidance should...

Advantages: An eclectic feast, blending varied musical influences into a satisfying whole. Disadvantages: McKennitt has suffered by being relegated to the fringe of musical interest in Britain.
...Mask and the Mirror' is a wonderful introduction to McKennitt's music and, along with 'The Book of Secrets' her most ambitious album, to date. Some tracks such as 'The Mystic's Dream', 'Marrakesh Night Market' and 'Full Circle' could have come directly from the ArabianNights. Other tracks like chilling, 'The Two Trees' have literary sources, in this case a poem of the same title by W.B. Yeats. 'The Dark Night of the Soul' is rooted in the rich poetry of the Spanish mystic, St.John of the Cross. My favourite track on this album, 'The Bonny Swans' is more than seven minutes long and is basically a ghost story. McKennitt seems to have taste for such tales because we have another one, 'The Highwayman' appearing on her subsequent album, 'The Book of Secrets'.
Is Britain ready for McKennitt? Surely, the time has come. Move over you...

Advantages: great choice for the kids Disadvantages: sounds like different voices to that in the film
...my sister bought this for me one christmas a few years back. i was a teenager but didnt care because it was only a joke present anyway and she knew aladdin is my all time favourite disney film!
This soundtrack is a must buy for the kids who love the classics. i know most at the moment love modern films such as shrek and shark tale, but please for all older teenagers out there get young kids back into the classics of disney. Just buy them this cd to get them into it. Its fantastic music and has every song that is sung in the movie including some instrumental music to get into the mood of agrabah!
These are all the songs on the cd:
1) ArabianNights- the first song and some say the best. gets into the feel of aladdin and presents the mood for the whole of the cd
"Oh i come from a land, from a faraway place...
