Thursday - War all the time
Review of War All The Time - Thursday by  rosie997

Advantages: everything
Disadvantages: nothing

..."Thursday's" third album "War all the time" is one of their best albums yet, considering the amazing lyrics, instrumental parts and just overall sound. It was released in 2003 and has to be one of the greatest albums released in that year. If you're looking for something completely different from the normal American post-hardcore band, than you've found it with this incredible album. Normally you can name your favourite songs from an album straight away and decide if you like the song at first listen. But not with this album. Every song is different and has a new undiscovered depth that you find the more you listen to it. For the workforce, drowning: This is one of my favourite songs on the album. Although there is some screaming, you can understand every word Geoff Rickly (lead singer) is singing. The guitar rift, combined... Read review

Review of 100 All-time Show Favourites (The Greatest Songs From The Greatest Shows) - Various Artists by  cwsupercrew

Advantages: Perfect for any musical fanatic
Disadvantages: Mainly includes the popular songs everyone knows

...-provokingly then you're looking at the wrong cd. Very good value for money with the volume of tracks, there are 5 cds each with on average 20 songs and they're arranged according to the show they're from and there is guaranteed to be sommething for everyone on it. The singers are in the most, the singers most recognised for singing each song either on brodway or in the west end so you cant fault the singing quality at all. I love 'Hello Young Lovers' from the King and I but was disappointed not to see 'A little fall of rain' from Les Miserables. It is available for £9.99 (which for 100 songs is very good value) and is available at cheapest on ebay (follow the links!) x... Read review

An all time great
Review of (What's The Story) Morning Glory - Oasis by  BrendanH

Advantages: A fantastic album
Disadvantages: Can't think of one

...Quite simply an outstanding album. It's not just their best ever but one of the all time great albums. What’s The Story Morning Glory was the first album that I bought, aged 10 and I haven't found a better one yet. This is a rare case of every song being hit single quality, that you can listen to again and again. I have heard several people with completely different music tastes say they liked. The album starts with the anthemic Hello and Roll With It and continues in the same vein. Songs like Wonderwall, Don't Look Back in Anger and Champagne Supernova remind you that this is a band that will still be listened to in 50 years time. My personal favourite is Champagne Supernova though it’s so hard to choose. The song begins with gentle guitar and lyrics and builds to a euphoric crescendo. All of the songs feature the great sing along... Read review
