Postage & Packaging: £0.00 Availability: 3-5 working days
Advantages: Some real gems Disadvantages: Quite a lot of pathetic overplayed tracks too
the few of my favourite tracks on this album so that you can see its good side (the numbers I have given next to each song are not the track numbers, just the way I have numbered them):
1.Lou Bega - 'Mambo no.5' - 3:35
What a great track! this is an instant classic which will be played for years to come. Using a big band, Lou Bega mixes a bit of jazz with a certain 'je ne sais quoi' (i think thats how you spell it!)
2.Jamiroquai - 'Canned Heat' - 3:18
I am a huge Jamiroquai fan so this has to go in. Definately one of the best tracks available here and also one of Jamiroquai's best. This combines an extreme amount of funk with acid jazz and heavy bass to create a really danceable track.
3.Sixpence none the richer - 'Kiss me' - 3:17
A lovely track which makes you sing along. This is one of sixpence none the richers' best tracks ...
Advantages: TAKE A JOURNEY DOWN MEMORY LANE! Disadvantages: SOME SONGS MAY BE TOO OLD FOR SOME!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now! If anyone seen this CD in the shops it would certainly not fill you with desire to purchase it.
The cover is actually a bland brown cover, with a darker brown round circle, with the words " 1970-number 1's" in the centre. The circle in the centre I presume is supposed to be a representation of the old 7inch vinyl records.
It also tells you and the CD cover in nice White letters, that amongst the artist there is, BLONDIE, SUZI QUATRO, WIZARD, T-REX, HOT CHOCOLATE, and MUD!
Not a bad line up eh?
The actual CD is white in colour, and has printed on it, number1's, 1970 in a light brown as well.
I expected to see pictures of each artist inside the cover when opening it, but was disappointed to see that it only contained, the track listings.
However you can reverse it and use the other side as poster if you so desire!
WHO RELEASED ...
Advantages: A few beauty's in here........somewhere! Disadvantages: A lot of poor pop tracks
and will be an instant hit with some people; just depends on your taste.
17. Smooth ? Santana 3:51
Classic! Santana has always been great, but this is my favourite of all his tracks. Matchbox 20?s Rob Thomas does the vocals and Santana provides the high-quality guitar solos to create a Latin-based track to either chill you out or blow your mind away.
19. U Know What?s Up - Donnel Jones 3:52
This is a very very good song which I didn?t discover until recently when one of my mates played it to me. We both went to a party that night and heard it played twice! Its quite a party tune which is worth listen.
5. Freestyler (radio edit) - Bomfunk MC's 2:52
A lot of you won?t like this (maybe out of principle) but I know a lot of people who think this song is ?it?. This is a rap with attitude and a catchy beat. Its worthy of its place ...
