Album Notes: Before he authored albums with politically charged thematic ambitions, and gained notoriety for an unconventional approach to music production, Matthew Herbert was producing records in a variety of styles under an assortment of pseudonyms. 100 LBS collects the first three EPs released under his eponymous project name, Herbert. Rooted more in house music than his experimental electro Doctor Rockit, Radio Boy, and Wishmountain guises, this is dance music stripped down to the bare essentials of rhythm, funk, and atmosphere. Injecting a lively new spin on the typically cold and sterile sound of club music, the album is bathed in warm, intoxicating rhythms and quirky arrangements. Essential for fans and neophytes alike, 100 LBS is a fine introduction to the early work of one of electronic music's most inventive artists.
Album Reviews: Spin (p.89) - 3.5 stars out of 5 -- \"'Friday They Dance' and 'Take Me Back' are reminiscent of early Masters at Work and Josh Wink', respectively, but they're off-kilter enough to hint at Herbert's later productions...\"

...Hello!
>>>> Introduction <<<<<
This opinion is about the german singer Herbert Grönemeyer and his new album "Mensch". Herbert Grönemeyer is the most famous and succesful singer in Germany. After a break of three years because of death of his wife Anna he publishes his new Album "Mensch" in August 2002 in Germany. It is number one of german album charts and in my opinion a great opus. But now to the facts:

"Mensch" contains eleven songs:
1) Mensch 4.28
2) Neuland 3.42
3) Der Weg 4.18
4) Viertel vor 4.23
5) Lache, wenn es nicht zum Weinen reicht 4.42
6) Unbewohnt 5.04

...I love his album, i'm listening to it now. He is multi- talented, he can write music, sing and dance, i like him because he is successful in life and has a unique voice and choices of sounds. I can relate to him because i can write, dance and sing, so BIG-UP 100% Ginuwine, he is BUFF and TALENTED....His lyrics make you think alot and its so good it makes you feel that you are in his shoes. His tracks are unorigional they are unique, i am not a strong fan of Ginuwine so its a surprise for me to be writing a really good reviwe on his album. I wish him luck in the future for further sales if he releases more albums, and i hope you people find this info helpful, thankyou for reading my review....

...Hello together.
Now i want to present the compact disc "unplugged" by the german artist Herbert Grönemeyer (recorded at MTV unplugged).
Herbert Grönemeyer is one of the most famous and succesful artists in germany. He was born in North-Rhine-Westphalia, Bochum. After a break of two year because of his wife´s death, he now publishes his new album "mensch".
The "Unplugged Herbert" album is older, but by no means bad and audible.
The songs included on this CD:
"Chaos"
"Keine Garantie"
"Halt mich"
"Hold me" is a wonderful lovesong, not trashy or sesquipedalian. Only piano and the coarse voice of Grönemeyer create a turned out song.
"Ich will mehr"
"Vollmond"
"Tanzen"
"Land unter"
"Morgenrot"
"Die Welle"
"Flugzeuge im Bauch"
"Alkohol"
This song is about alcoholism, herby describes alkohol as "Sanitäter in der...
