I would like to say that the Album Cover shouted at me come and buy me but sadly I would be lying. As I said before, one of my great loves is eighties music and that was the main reason for me buying this offering.
To be honest with you, the cover is pretty bland and uninteresting with the numbers 101 being prominent in blue, cerise and yellow respectively, with 80?s hits written in white on a black background just below. What actually grabbed my attention was the track listing, rather than the album cover.
So what did I get for my money. Lets start with the first disc.

1.: I Want To Break Free ? Queen
One of Queen?s later offerings, probably best remembered for the video which showed various band members doing the hovering whilst in drag amongst other similar activities. A huge hit ...
Advantages: The 6 number 1 records Disadvantages: The rest of the tracks are rubbish
can't really be classed as disco even though its origins are rooted there. The track name did spawn a new musical genre though.
2. Ain't Nothing But A House Party - The Contours. If this was ever a hit anywhere then I can't find any references to it nor could I find a release year, the song itself is a Motown tune. Definately not disco, not even close.
3. Another Man - Barbara Mason. From 1984, its best position was #45 in the UK charts so it can't be considered to be a hit in any way, shape or form. The Americans said it was R&B and it reached #68 in that chart. So not a hit and certainly not disco.
4. Saddle Up - David Christie. Also from 1984, this album isn't doing very well as far as Disco era tunes goes so far is it? Christie was a French 1 hit wonder and this is it, I could only find 1 chart listing this as a hit and that was ...
Advantages: You won't get bored of it Disadvantages: Could come out with more songs

Your wish has been fulfilled because you have all those tunes packed as a collection of this wonderful Cd set. You want it you got it dance beats...reggae ..Pop and the right rhythm.
You really won't have to give yourself a reason to dance as you play this On and On..
Yes there could have been more hits of the era gone by but that would give you a reason to look for another party cd set.
