Advantages: Great Album Disadvantages: Not long enough more songs needed
...I fell in love with depechemode all over again with this album, and I highly recommend devotional live dvd as a must buy, If only to see dave with long hair and a beard.
The songs are very emotional and have a gospel feel and also have a rocky beat with a lot more guitar and drums.
There is not a song on the album i dislike, and all the songs are different, no two songs are the same. Dave's voice is very strong, and a lot of the songs are now played live and are well loved by fans.
My personal favourites are 'Higher love and 'in your room'
It was also the last album Alan Wilder did with the band.
Its a masterpiece You will listen to this album again and again...

I'm not sure he was right, but this album was a success.
About the lyrics, martin and his depechemode's friends saw misery in asia. That surely why he decided to speak about our world.
We can find some sentences like « we need universal revolution » …
"All that we need at the start's
Universal Revolution (That's all !)
And if we trust in our hearts
We'll find the solutions" (and then)
It was a dream… humans will never do that…
Another song tells us "Taking from the greedy, Giving to the needy" (pipeline)… Hard to believe it will happen…
