Advantages: It's Mick and the boys. Disadvantages: None
...it was on the radio as I woke up!!! What's going on here???
So I thought that in order to exorcise this demon from my brain, I needed to find a copy of the song and listen to it over and over till I knew it off by heart, then they'll stop victimising me with it and leave me alone. So I wandered off to my local record shop to look at the Rolling Stones section, and my, what a huge selection they had. There were about 4 different "greatest hits" collections, one going over about 4 volumes! Well I suppose that's what you get when you've been around for a long, long time...
I chose "Forty Licks" because of the nice colourful cover, the large selection of songs that I had heard of, and it was the cheapest option in Virgin at £19.99, although I could have saved quite a bit by buying it from Amazon, silly me.

Advantages: A large selection of great tracks Disadvantages: Just a couple of bad ones thrown in, but it all really depends on your taste

Its one of those albums that sums up the nineties well, and with 5 singles released off the album one can not underestimate its success. The boys mix pop music with art pretensions, what they are known for. Theres not one song on this album I don't like, whether its slow and dark or fast, upbeat and camp, the Pet Shop Boys have created one remarkable album which is certainly a classic examples of nineties pop. The only disadvantage I can think of is that there's not enough of it, although give...
