10 - Enuff Z'Nuff

Advantages: Great collection of hits
Disadvantages: Dragging Brit pop beyond its natural life span

...Ok hands up how many of you thought 7or 8 years ago that Supergrass would ever be releasing a greatest hits CD. I'm guessing not many people. They're one of these bands you kind of expected to fade away into Brit pop obscurity, even Oasis and Blur have found it hard to keep their sucess going but here we are 10 years on and they're still going. They've never been known for churning out albums as suggested by just 4 releases in the 10 years but they've managed to dig up enough classics from those 4 albums to fill a greatest hits. It all started well about 10 years ago as the title suggests with the release of their debut single 'caught by the fuzz' a frenetic 3 minute guitar pop masterpiece and still my favourite of their songs. Advantages: Embodies some of Mahlers most notable music qualities.
Disadvantages: Unfinished.

...--- OVERVIEW --- There is supersition that Beethoven died before completing his 10th symphony and so too would Mahler. This turned out to be true, at the age of 50 Mahler died from a serious illness. The different movements of his symphony were left unfinished and put aside for many years until in the 1960's a British musicoligist Deryck Cooke recreated them. Advantages: Latest Club sounds with some really awesome mixes
Disadvantages: Maybe a few tracks added to fill the 3 CDs

...An absolutely awesome mix of the hottest club tracks currently on offer. Most of these tracks I have been unable to find elsewhere so if you want any of these you will probably only get them on Clubland 10 for the time being. My pet hate is buying CD's just for one or two tracks so it was a bonus buying this and actually wanting most of the tracks. The added bonus has to be the mixes which are some of the hottest I have heard in a long time. Some of the mixes are of older songs such as Around the World which was originally a hit for ATC several years ago but there are a lot of exclusive remixes by artists such as Sugababes, Girls Aloud (remix is far better than their pop release!) and Rhianna. Lots of Flip and Fill and Styles & Breeze mixes for all you die-hard party animals out there and some excellent tracks by Cascada. I... Read review
