Advantages: mix of music styles

...OK so I got my mailed the preivew of Steps latest offereing to the world and yes it is VERY different than their usual pop style BUT (and this is a big but ( think Rosanne Barr stylee... a very big Butt *grins*)it is definitely worth a listen, I think the stepsters have finally grown up! The album consists of released songs like: Better The Devil you know, Summer of Love and the newest one Stomp (not the best offereing for sure!). My personal favourites are Believe in me, the way you make me feel and Paradise Lost. This album is definitely worht a listen for all steps fans and others, is very Different!... Read review

Advantages: Rock and Roll Ground Zero

...This is it Kids Rock and Roll ground zero in 1976 the Ramones released their first album. From folk that I know who were around at the time the first impression was "WHAT" followed by laughter only after subsequent listening did they fully understand what was going on here. I think it was Legs McNeil of Punk Magazine that summed it up rather nicely rather than sing intelligent songs about stupid subjects the Ramones sung stupid songs about intelligent subjects, songs about what happened every day to the kids growing up in the streets. What I have to say about it is that I first encountered it in 1980 and for years I saw no point in getting any record released before it, until I discovered The Stoogies, MC5, 13th Floor Elevators, Elvis, Johnny Cash and Van der Graff Generator.
