Advantages: Hey Its The Stray Cats Disadvantages: None unless you don't like Rockabilly
...).
This is a must for any Stray Cats fans (if there areany of us left lol), Though a good 70's and 80's good rockabilly band, they seemed to have faded away with the rest and the genre has all but faded away with occassional song released every now and again, but i supposed this serves more as a remenising type of album for playing and remebering days gone by.
When i play it i think god did i really have hair like that, and how my feet hurt after a night of wearing winkle pickers, but hey they were good times..sheep..

Advantages: cleaned up and reformed Disadvantages: i cant think of any!!!
...i first got into janes addiction a few years ago, long after they had split up. the album 'ritual de lo habitual' was one of my favourites for a long time, and i was gutted that i would never get to see the band performing live. however, as luck would have it, the band reformed and this, 'strays', is the comeback album we all hoped we would get. maybe before the band would let their experimental side get the better of them, but here they have a produced a straight up no-nonsense fuck-rock album, that i think is the best of their career. maybe its their maturity and experience within the music business that has helped them here, and theres no doubt that they did not need to reform as they all have enough money. its clear that this is all about the music. initial standout tracks include the singles 'true nature' and 'just because...

Advantages: Still the same excellent voice, lyrics, thoughts and tunes. More listenable than her other albums, nice enhanced content. Disadvantages: Some may argue this is targeted at a more saturated market. The UK probably isn’t really the market for this, the odd weak track and no obvious outstanding track.
...’t know enough to argue with that…
•10 – I Won’t Walk Away
“Wrong or right, be mine tonight
Harsh world be damned, we’ll make a stand
Love can bind, but mine is blind, others stray but I won’t walk away”
This starts off with a fairly subdued guitar, piano, bass intro, and Jewel’s voice is quite sad. The first lines of “A lone street lamp, I’m out on the street walking home” set the song up well for the chorus (above). This is another beautiful song, about breaking up, very emotional towards the end (the strings part is also good). Average Jewel stuff, good or bad? It depends…
•11 – Love Me Just Leave Me Alone
“What’s the matter? Did your love need a home
Alright then, love me just leave me alone”
