I don't really think Travis have made their mind up with where they stand in the music business, are they rock or easy listening? With starting out with a seemingly focussed goal on being a rock band album 2 and 3 (the man who and invisable band) turned out to be fairly easy listening but this album turns out another surprise, veering away slightly from easy listening and back towards rock. Whether a Travis fan or not everyone has their favourite album, my personal favourite is Good Feeling (which I have found not many people have heard of). This is back in their early days when the songs were up beat feel good songs. Saying this I do love all of Travis' albums but was a bit worried that this album might be too much like the man who and invisable band, full of the loved up songs that us singletons can quite easily get sick of. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that, although this album isn't as up beat and rocky as good feeling, it is getting there. It was refreshing to have the kind of music you can dance around your room singing to! Unlike most other bands albums it is hard to pick out future singles as most of the album tracks are as excellent as their recent singles but my personal favourite has to be Beautiful Occupation which I have just found out is their next single its an up beat song with flowing lyrics and the lead singer (Fran) has an amazing voice that flows as well as the lyrics do. As Frank Skinner said "Its a great album to drive your car whilst listening to".This is a must for all fans of Travis and yet it would make an enjoyable extra in the cd collection of many others, and just in time for christmas as well!

Have to agree about Good Feeling, also my favourite of the 3 first albums. Being a huge Travis fan, I'm not quite sure why I haven't rushed out to buy 12 Memories, but I haven't heard a bad word said about it. It's on my Christmas list, so I'll just have to wait another week or so!

Hi there and sorry for low rating, You haven't mentioned what sort of a band travis are. You also need to include at least a little of what each track is called and how good it is. The best idea for music ops is to imagine you're writing for someone who has never heard of the band or album before. Have a read of a few of the other ops in 'Albums' rated as VH to get an idea of what to include. If you add anything let me know (via my gb) and I'll be happy to re-rate :) xx E.

Advantages: Great, easy listen with different and original tracks. Disadvantages: Not a huge fan of the dull cover, as it does not fully portray the music.
