...a few cigarettes (though I might be wrong!). What I also love about this song is the phrasing. I still sit back in amazement at the amount of words he sometimes manages to fit into a line. And what a line at the end of the chorus. "I've been saved by a woman". Ain't we all! 'Trouble' is the perfect start to an album, happy with tinges of sadness, and enough to make you listen for more.
Shelter
'Shelter' starts off a bit slower in almost a swing beat. Nice introduction, with some good use of seventh chords for a bit of excitement. Ray's voice comes in and again doesn't fail to disappoint. Strange chorus. Drums drop out, and strings come in. Then drums bought back in to keeps the interest. This is done the other way round to most normal song structure where drums would be bought in for the chorus. Clever stuff. And wholly original. Can...

Advantages: Very catchy songs. Disadvantages: The production is not perfect.
...is the only song done by any of them on the whole album. It sounds a little bit diffrent from the rest of the tracks, with a nice spooky chorus influced by Indian music.
8: 18 Years - Time for the only ballad on this album. It's a very good ballad sounding a lot like one of those ballads Skid Row done. Very soft in the beginning, but later the verses are a bit heavier with a great chorus "Spread my wings and fly among the clouds, i feel so free i left the world behind. now i know what i have missed and i'll never give it back, my life's just begun!". Also a very good guitarsolo here, also sounding very much like Skid Row.
9: Your torn is over - This is the only song sung by the Dirk Schläter on this album, or any Gamma Ray album in that matter. It's a very fast song, not that bad, but not as catchy as most other songs on this album...

...I was given this CD for my birthday and have played it regularly ever since. Now you may think that I am a bit soppy (and I probably am) but there are certain songs that just touch you and this album has a few of those. My favourites are - No Matter What, Words, When The Going Gets Tough and When you Say Nothing At All.
Normally when I buy a CD there are a few songs that I just don't like but I have to say although I have my favs most of them are pretty good. You would expect these songs to be spread out over a few albums but that is what makes this such a great album. As well as having Ronan in the band of course !!...
