Elton John
Review of Very Best Of Elton John, The - Elton John by  tmlfc1

Advantages: Music for All Ages
Disadvantages: None

...Love him or hate him the name Elton John is one that we have all heard of at some time in our life. He has made a multitude of songs spanning over thirty years and has performed with artists all over the world. His record sales worldwide have topped the 100 million mark and out of the 30 plus albums he has made no less than 7 have been consecutive number ones in the usa. This particular double cd has all the hallmarks of an artist of great standing and his music speaks volumes. His partnership with lyricist Bernie Taupin is put together in 2 cd\'s of 30 songs which seem to have their very own genre. Its hard to put it in a catagory but when listened to i see it as mood music. It has ups and downs and depending on how you feel will determine which songs you choose. I purchased this album a few years ago after knowing a fair few songs... Read review

Its great music for eny time really, Dinning or just listening to when your sitting around or working. Its light and easy! Elton John had was known for having more shoes than eny one ever! He made his way to the top and stayed there for a long time. He is still popular even today... Read review

The Definitive Elton John Collection
Review of Greatest Hits 1970-2002 - Elton John by  barrymat

Advantages: 3cd's covering all the hits with a few hidden gems
Disadvantages: Makes you want even more

...If your a Elton John fan then this 3 cd collection is definetely for you. Spanning all decades of his career it includes early classics such as 'Your Song' through to his later work such as 'I Want Love' with the third cd throwing up all kind of gems such a duet with the late Luchiano Pavarotti. The cover sleeve of the collection is also worth a mention with a excellent collection of photo's and a mini biography of Elton's career to date. This is really an essential cd to add to your collection if your in the least bit intrested in Elton John, I cant think of a single song on the collection that dissapoints. A personal favourite of mine 'Live like Horses' being one of the highlights of this cd. A must buy!!... Read review
