Album Notes: SANDY POSEY is an 18-track release featuring '60s and '70s country pop singer Sandy Posey, including \"Single Girl\" and \"I've Been Loving You Too.\"
Advantages: The voice of an Angel ; Title track being one of the best folk rock songs Disadvantages: Some weak tracks ; Not on the same par as Fairport Convention or Fotheringay
..., Stills Nash and Young, Gram Parsons to name a few, Britain i.e. The most traditionally folk country in the world due to it's marvellous Celtic roots had little to offer.
Sandy Denny's Scottish grandmother sung traditional folk songs which sparked an interest in Sandy to sing and play piano. After departing from school she left to start training as a nurse t the Royal Brompton Hospital but shortly after in 1965 joined the Kingston college of art where she joined and became heavily involved in the on campus folk club. Here she met fellow students John Renbourn and Eric Clapton, after singing at a show at Earl's court she was spotted by legends The Strawbs and offered to join the band, where she made one album before leaving to join the saviours of British folk The Fairport Convention.

Advantages: Bringing old tracks to the modern audience Disadvantages: Doesn't really give Martina a chance to shine
...to the originals as possible. She takes an active role in producing all of her albums, and this one was no exception.
This is a long quote, but I want to include it as it sums up the album much more eloquently than I ever could:

Advantages: ALL THE CLASSICS FROM YESTERYEARS - GOOD MIXES - SOUND QUALITY Disadvantages: SOME SONGS I WOULDN'T RATE AS A "CLASSIC"
...TASTE AS OBVIOUSLY OUR TASTES WILL DIFFER WHEN IT COMES TO MUSIC BUT I'LL LIST THE TRACKS WHICH I THINK MAKE THE ALBUM A SUCCESS.
WILLIAM ORBIT'S - BARBERS ADAGIO FOR STRINGS
This is a classic song which most of you will notice its from the Kevin & Perry film in the Ibiza hotspot which is Amnesia nightclub. It's a genuine trance song with a decent instrumental melodie which will remind you of dancing the night away in your local hotspot or on a 18-30s holiday.
STORM - TIME TO BURN
I remember this song when my brother was listening to it years ago in his bedroom with his mates and I was only knee-high to a grasshopper but it is definatly worthy of being called a Classic as in most nightclubs up and down the country will play this song still years after production.
PAUL VAN DYK - FOR AN ANGEL
This is a song where you can ask...
