1977 was a legend and still is. The highly acclaimed album from the Irish trio, was a landmark in not only my CD collection but I'm sure the collection of many others. As a budding guitarist, material which as seamless and emotionally stimulating as 1977 is rated up with high class Dutch porno and southampton football Club. I must say...their music has inspired me top be a musician. The deep contrast between the jovial thrashing of the opener, also featuring on Gran Tourismo pulvarises the brain with a wash of atmospheric rock ambience and driving force. Contrasted with the emotionally stirring and quite gifted Angel Intercepto( my personal favourite), all listeners are blessed with Ash's immense scope and range of material. And although Nu-clear sounds, many feel didn't reach the highs of 1977 - it goes without saying that these themes are well if not more lightly reflected here. Look out for new material from the now foursome - following the brilliant shining light. I'm out! Dave
