16.Debarge - Rhythm of the Night (1985)
17.Sheena Easton - Modern Girl (1980)
18.New Edition - Candy Girl (1983)
Another wedding reception song!
19.Rock Steady Crew - Hey You (The Rock Steady Crew) (1984)
Awful!
20.Europe - The Final Countdown (1986)
What a song! One of my Dad's favourite songs and I love it as well. Its one of those songs where you just have to get up and dance and sing along loudly too and do the air guitar. Classic.
Out of both CDs im likely to be found listening to the first one, but the second CD does have some classic songs on it and I cant wait to get my School Uniform off and go relive my youthful school days intoxicated, under the influence and go crazy.... and if your really lucky I will do a review of my night out, although im not sure I will supply photo's!
This CD can be found in various music shops...

Advantages: flawless tracklisting; original hits by original artists; forgotten gems Disadvantages: dull sleevenotes
.... The compilers Sean Rowley & Dean Marsh have really taken time to put together a CD full of some of the lesser known hits by big artists, particularly 'Rich Girl' by Hall & Oates, which is one of their best hits, when they could have easily settled for 'She's Gone' or 'Kiss on my list.'
When was the last time you heard 'Pinball' by Brian Protheroe or 'Uptown Uptempo Woman' by Randy Edelman? Probably not since the days of when they were released and you owned the vinyl single.
There are some really well known tracks for good measure such as the two Andrew Gold classics 'Lonely Boy' and 'Never let her slip away' as well as 10CC's 'The things we do for love,' but these are timeless songs surprisingly rarely featured on compilations.
A few other surprises on this compilation are 'SSSSingle Bed' by Fox which is pure cheese as well as 'Who Loves You...

...This album was the very first album that I ever bought when it was released a few years back! It is a timelessclassic that shows what real pop music was all about. it also showed that some 80's bands did actually have a bit of talent unlike some I could but won't mention. All the old hit singles such as walking on the moon and the beds too big without you are on it> Lyrics are excellnt on most of the tracks as are the vocals by Sting> the album sleeve at the time was very imaginative - looks a bit dated now but thats the only thing that is about this true masterpiece of the 1980's> If you didnt buy it now go get it even if its just for those memories of the 80's...
