...Having conquered the world with hit albums 'Parallel Lines', 'Eat to the Beat' and 'Autoamerican', Blondie were an exhausted band with members who couldn't stand the sight of each other. This album, 'The Hunter', was released in 1982 and is the last album they released. Of course, we now know that this was not to be the case, as the band reformed in 1998 and released two more albums ('No Exit', which isn't very good, and 'The Curse of Blondie', which is a bit better). Blondie were such a cross-appealing group, they could appeal to all sorts of people – that’s what made them cool. They skinny-tied new wave cool brought them much appreciation from the punk/new wave crowd, the NYC art scene (Andy Warhol and Jean-Paul Basquiat were fans) and the fashion industry, with designers falling over themselves to appropriate the Blondie style... ...hay people. im bak with a rap like the big willy who b cumin straight outta philly to tell everyone that i have been around and got sum more big willy sound big willy style... what more can you say... the albulm is faberooh,but i have always wonderd do u think he really has a big willeh or if heis lying yea sure hes big, yea sure hes called will but i mean c`mon... what do you think? now i have spent hours and hours over that one the albulm is great but why does he not have an intro about his willy, i mean what kind of man throws his shoe. the track with lef eye b fonnnkay so let me here you say what size iz his willay hoooooo!!! i think about the willy all of the time i mean dont you ever think you should kill yourself in order so that he will know your love for his (so called ) big willeh... ...In 1957 Alex Harvey won a competition to find Scotland's answer to Tommy Steele, winning that title gave him work as a backing singer for Gene Vincent and Eddie Cochran, so by the time he picked up a backing band called "Tear Gas" in summer of 1972 Alex had been working in Show business for nearly 30 years. For when Alex and his band now renamed "The Sensational Alex Harvey Band" went into the studio to record the first of these re-issued albums "Framed" recording sessions where completed in a week. With it's no-frills rock approach with a twist of blues and with only 2 cover versions that being the title track Framed written by the legendary song writing team of Mike Leiber and Jerry Stroller and the song "I just want to make love to you" written by Willie Dixon both old blues songs Alex had taken and given a new lease of life...
