Advantages: Absolutely beautiful Disadvantages: None that I can think of
...I've always loved this film, and certainly one of the things which made it so remarkable was this excellent score. RyuichiSakamoto wrote it on his own, as well as starring in the film as the implacable Captain Yonoi.
The tunes contained on it are as follows:
1. MerryChristmas, Mr. Lawrence
2. Batavia
3. Germination
4. A Hearty Breakfast
5. Before The War
6. The Seed And The Sower
7. A Brief Encounter
8. Ride, Ride, Ride
9. The Fight
10. Father Christmas
11. Dismissed
12. Assembly
13. Beyond Reason
14. Sowing The Seed
15. 23rd Psalm
16. Last Regrets
17. Ride, Ride, Ride
18. The Seed
19. Forbidden Colours

Advantages: Makes you feel Christmassy! Disadvantages: But not in July!
...on this track. Why, their summery vocals almost sound appealing in July on this December track. Quite the best thing on the album so far.
13. Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree - Brenda Lee
...and this isn't too far behind. R&B (in the original sense: Beyonce, Brandy etc hang your heads) sung at full pelt by the woman who gave us the never-bettered Sweet Nothings. Apparently she was only about 4 foot tall or something, but taught Lulu all she knows. Gee, thanks Brenda. Superb track. Hey, this Christmas listening in July isn't so bad.
14. Frosty The Snowman - Jackson Five
Oh dear, spoke too soon. The combination of the worse song ever made being sung by Michael Jackson in a voice that only dogs can hear sums this up. Where's the skip button?
15. Walk This Sleigh - Robbie Williams
Oh dear. Again
16. In Dulce Jubilo - MikeOldfield
Hmmm...
