Nirvana toured on the strength of their first album release, the British Music Press reviews holding Nirvana in high esteem, and in 1988 recruited drummer Dave Grohl (previously of Scream) to the band, and permanence ensued. The first (gaining international recognition) album with the complete members was written and re-corded between 1988 and 1990 entitled Never Mind. The first major label album surprisingly went on to sell millions of copies in it's first few short months, lodging Nirvana permanently into the commercial market. Success of the album was premonitive of the rise to come.
