For years and years there was lots of speculation on wether the Beatles would ever get together and perform once again. Alas this didnt ever materialize. We were left with getting them black plastic things out, amuch to the amusement of our children "How do you get that into a CD Player Dad?"
The package is attractive, nice bright Red with a big Yellow No 1, how can u miss that. 27 classic songs all on One disc, "Eleanor Rigby", "Penny Lane", "The ballad of John & Yoko" and the list goes on, it is a shame that some had to be missed off.
The booklet that accompanys the CD, has photographs of the records covers, browsing through you can feel the hairs of your neck moving as your minds rush to days of youth and innocence, and days of the coffee shops jukebox in the corner.
Appropriately George Martin introduces the CD in the booklet.
It is easy to see why this was such a big hit, the Beatles broke so many record barriers, and Lennon & McCartney are remembered as the most prolific writers of the 20th Century.
If you lived through the Beatles years buy it and rlve your youth, if you didnt still buy it and see why a lot of the modern musicians were so inspired by one of the greatest groups of the 20th Century.
