Advantages: More electro-rock at it's best! Disadvantages: Fans will get a shock when they first hear it
...New York based duo, Fischerspooner return with their second album entitled "Odyssey".
Released in 2005, they've opted for a much more coherent approach this time. The songs have more emotion and expression, creating a rich, warm sound. It's definately a huge suprise for fans when they first hear this album as the expectation of more of the same is shattered with this new agenda. Huge hooks, great live drums and guitars, bouncy beats and extra catchy choruses are everywhere!!
Tracklist:
1. Just Let Go
2. Cloud
3. Never Win
4. A Kick In The Teeth
5. Everything To Gain
6. We Need A War
7. Get Confused
8. Wednesday
9. Happy
10. Ritz 107
11. All We Are
12. O
As before, I'll write a short piece about each track, so that you can get a feel for the album.
The first track "Just Let Go", introduces you gently to the new sound...

Advantages: Funky, Electronic music for all Disadvantages: Some tracks don't quite live up to the best!
...Warren Fischer and Casey Spooner, collectively known as Fischerspooner, released their debut album "#1" in early 2002. They had already gained worldwide recognition from around 1999 when they started writing, cool, edgy electronic music. "Emerge" was a huge track for them, and it broke into the UK Top 40, which was a rarity for serious electronic artists.
The Fischerspooner sound is reminiscent of some old Kraftwerk material, except it has an edgier, rockier feel to it. Fischerspooner are almost like an electronic music rock band. And you've gotta love them for it!!
The album #1's tracklist is as follows:
1. Sweetness
2. 15th
3. Emerge
4. L.A. Song
5. Tone Poem
6. Horizon
7. Invisible
8. Turn On
9. F*cker
10. Natural Disaster
11. Ersatz
12. Megacolon (Hidden Track)
13. Emerge (Junkie XL mix - Hidden Track)
I'll run through each song...

Back on form Review ofSynchronicity [Remastered] [ECD] - Police (The)by
dave27
Advantages: Strong songs and performance Disadvantages: None really
...In 1983, after a year’s absence that gave rise to the inevitable rumours of a split, the Police stormed back into the public eye with the Synchronicity album, their fourth, which produced a Number 1 single in Every Breath You Take, plus two further hits, Wrapped Around Your Finger and Synchronicity II.
Their success remained undiminished, and indeed reached new heights in the US, where both album and single lodged at Number 1.
They moved away with this set from the usual, bland poppy melodies but it did their popularity no harm at all and is one of their strongest ever sets....
