...the Roberta Flack version of this song is as close to perfection as doesn't matter, I will never know. The majority of the tracks listed below show celine in her all guns blazing singing the full spectrum of frequencies mode which clashes with the subject material. Where Dion lays off and empathises with the subject matter are for me as a non-fan of Dion surprisingly sweet and highly listenable. Unfortunately this is only the case on the sublime "Brahms' Lullaby" and the late departed legendary John Lennons' ode to his son from his second marriage Sean, "Beautiful Boy" . ...I'm a huge fan of Celine Dion's and love this album of hers loads. The album contains 9 greatest hits and 7 brand new tracks 16 tracks in total. Celine Dion's type of music is love songs and easy listening I find. I think Celine Dion's verison of 'The Power Of Love' is more emotional than Jennifer Rush's as Celine Dion has powerful vocals. The Power Of Love is the first track on this album which is a superb way to start of the album. The Power Of Love is one of the most successful love songs of all time i'd say and my favourite song of hers. ...“That’s the Way It Is” is a combination of Celine Dion’s greatest hits and seven new songs. It is the usual fare for the French-Canadian singer. The greatest hits part of the album makes it a good purchase for anyone who doesn’t have the previous albums but is there anything for the fan with the previous albums? I love Celine Dion’s voice but my biggest criticism has been that on previous albums there are too many album filling tracks rather than songs being in there on merit. TTWIS actually benefits from this as there is only room for the cream of the new material. If you like Celine buy this, if you don’t I don’t suppose you will be reading this!... Read review
