Advantages: It has a unique style!
Disadvantages: It became boring when it received too much air play!

...Ok, well when this single first came out I thought it was brilliant! What a wonderful compilation of gospel and a tune that you can dance to. Everytime I heard it, I could do nothing but dance! Then came the over-kill! It just became too much hearing it everytime the radio is on, or on television advertising a compilation album! It became tedious and I just wanted to get away from it! In its defence it is a catchy tune and you don't have to like gospel to enjoy it, but just don't listen to it constantly...it's too much of a good thing! As for Mary Mary, I think they are a very talented pair as they have excellent voices! They showed us how it was done and introduced a new style of music into the top ten...its not very often that you see gospel achieving these high chart positions! Advantages: Lovely Instrumentation, queer music
Disadvantages: The type of music is very queer

..., but I still like it. Quite scary. He talks about a man who has the loneliest feeling. He shouts at the end of it, but a positive for me. The tenth song is a very very sad song. About a man who just can't keep things together, and everything always goes wrong. ''A heart that's, full up like a landfill, a job that slowly kills you, bruises that won't heal.'' Am Fond of this song. The eleventh song has more influences of coldplay. Talks about being on a role, and that it is gonna be a beautiful day. If you like coldplay, then your sure to like Lucky. The Twelth song can be compared to Subterranean Homesick Alien, because it has that calm, unwinding sort of feel to it. He talks about a dog, and that he always barks at no one else but him. Very nice one. I have to say that this type of music you either love or hate, and must emphasize this... Read review

Advantages: Better than "Terraforma"
Disadvantages: Not as good as "At Action Park"

..., that's right, Shellac have decided to reward all of us vinyl purists by supplying the CD as a free gift with the vinyl. Could there be more incentives to buy it on vinyl? No. If you're into the kind of weird hardcore touted by labels like Touch & Go and Southern, then you should really be already into Shellac. If not, then you won't get a much better introduction to Shellac, and this whole sound, than this album.... Read review
