...If you enjoyed the film you'll love the CD. If you haven't seen the film and you're age 5 to 14 you'll probably still love it. It has all the main songs from the film, including both versions of You are the Music in Me by Troy & Gariella and Sharpay. The bonus track is weird but the 10 other songs justified the cost of the CD without worring about the bonus track. Very popular with all the girls at my daughters' primary school but unsure if it is as popular with older children. Despite that i have to admit that it is also very popular with their forty-two year old mother! An ideal Christmas present or stocking filler if they haven't got it already.... Read review

...contains the original songs which make it into the television show, so it is music which is going to be instantly recognisable to anyone who watches the show. I like that all the songs are included as I can choose to play either Harry's favourite songs or just let the CD run right through and let him listen to the lot if I'm feeling particularly generous or in a good mood. It is called "A Musical Journey", presumably because it takes us on a journey through the Night Garden introducing its characters and all the music featured on the show. The cover artwork isn't particularly eye-catching which I was surprised by. I would have expected it to show an enormous picture of one of the characters on the front to grab the attention of toddlers walking by but instead, it features a navy blue sea scene, much like at the start of the programme... "Light My Fire" is my personal reminder that the solutions to life's "insoluble" problems exist at a personal level; in the "subjective" universe between our ears; i.e., the REAL one that defines the "objective" simulated universe just beyond them.
