20 Greatest Hits - Gene Pitney

Advantages: 18 Wonderful Number one Tracks from the 80's
Disadvantages: None

...makes up for in content. As many of you will know from my previous reviews one of my pasions is 80's music, and the beauty with this album is that although all the tracks were number one singles, very few of them appear on other compilation albums. Although the album was particularly cheap, I don't feel cheated by the quality of the tracks on offer. Track Listing 1. Duran Duran - The Reflex Not the Brummie boys greatest offering (Rio, Save A Prayer and Girls on Film probably do it for me) but a decent enough track to kick start the album. 2. Midge Ure - If I Was Midge is probably best known for his role with Bob Geldof in getting Live Aid up and running, but he was also a successful artist with Ultravox before embarking on a solo career which culminated in this huge hit. Advantages: Well, its Queen, and their Greatest hits are on it..
Disadvantages: Their worst track is also on it, taking a valueable space.

Advantages: first 9 tracks are everything that can be hoped for (barring Patience)
Disadvantages: no band input, mixed playlist, poor packaging

....99, a flimsy collection of a mere 14 songs from a band that have a career spanning 20 years, quite frankly isn’t acceptable.
