Advantages: Set The Standards For Box Sets To Come Disadvantages: None
...This boxed set contained a beautifully illustrated information packed booklet accompany 65 tracks compromising live and radio session versions of old favourites, hard to find B-sides and other rarities, plus 16 previously unreleased studio songs. Amongst the gems on this album are withdrawn singles ‘Lick Your Fingers Clean” from 1971 and “Beltane” from 1978 plus three pieces from a shelved project from 1972.

Advantages: Proper songs with words and instruments you can hear Disadvantages: You may like it and have to buy some more Bob Fox Cd's
...I am suprised that no one has reviewed this CD as yet It was produced in 2000, I myself bought it in 2003 and it remains one of my firm favourites.
After Bob Fox guested on a Fairport Convention tour members of the band gladly reciprocated and guested on this album.
Here is the track list and the composer of the tune/song with the odd comment by me although to be fully apreciated the sleeve notes with the cd are best.
1, The Road to the North (instumental)
Bobs version of an Alistair Anderson melody.
2, The White Cockade (traditional)
(not something from an Ann Summers shop)
3, Champion at Keeping Them Rolling (Ewan MacColl)
yes thats Kirsty's dad.
4, Water of Tyne (traditional)
about a river between lovers
5, Big River (Jimmy Nail)
(the bloke that did Crocodile Shoes, She's Leaving and Love Don't Live Here Anymore)

Advantages: Originality and fun, great lyrics Disadvantages: Quality and bit out of date
...**What Is It?**
Tartan Army (Scottish World Cup Anthems) was put toghether by Scotland FC. It has 20 songs that have influenced Scottish football over the last 40 years. Written by various artists
**Quality Of Music?**
Not bad actully. You can tell some of it was recoreded a while back as it is a bit crackily, but the music itself is great. It is VERY patriotic and has alot of traditional scottish instruments especially the accordion which appears in almost every song! Every song also has men singing about some subject relating to Scotland or football. They are very catchy so watch out! Alot of them are ballads which are very witty and once in a while quite rude! Again it is a bit crackily but it is very loudly recorded so i'm pretty sure that has something to do with it.
**Tracklist**
