Vol. 2... even better
Review of Put Your Hands Up Vol.2 - Various Artists by MVP017

Advantages: Good tracks, bonus material
Disadvantages: A few too many mixes

...Have already rated the previous album (put your hands up vol.1) and many of my points apply to this album aswell. After continually listening to the first album i decided to buy this one aswell and again i was not disappointed. There is again a brilliant mix of tracks over 3 CD's including several remixes and club mixes such as that of Camille Jonesvs Fedded le Grande-The Creeps (club mix). This i believe to be one of the best but there are 62 other tunes that you will just want to get up and dance to. Again, as like the previous album there is bonus content on CD1 including 3 awesomw music videos including Fedde Le Grande-Put your hands up and Alex Gaudino-Destination Calabria. This is a really nice touch to the album and makes it a real gem.... Read review

African Artists playing Jazz Standards
Review of Jazz In Africa Vol.1 - Jazz Epistles (The) by RapsakkaspaR

Advantages: Amazing Jazz improvisation, great sound and beautiful harmony
Disadvantages: None.

...Jazz in Africa is an excellent example of complex swing rhythms and fruitful harmony combined with witty and playful melodies. Instruments of a classic Jazz setup with a drumkit, double bass, piano, Saxophone and Trumpet. This Album is a personal favourite with some really special tracks on it. Track 2 Yardbird Suite is a great introduction to jazz, its full of life with a controlled expressive saxophone solo. Track 12 Gafsa Gypsies, a piano solo is a brilliant piece showing the piano in its more dreamy side. I think the questions when buying music in particular are: How tight is the music? How good is the sound quality? and is it really an positive experience into another culture? I think with Jazz in Africa Volume One I can really vouch for this album. Fair enough some of it may sound like a bit wild, wandering off the point... Read review

The idea of Jazzmatazz
Review of Jazzmatazz Vol.1 - Guru by downloth.net

Advantages: music
Disadvantages: too short

...and Donald Byrd were cut. In the early seventies Vynilartists already scratched&moved such as Grandmaster Flash already mixed and even let tapes of Revox fly. The jazz always injected the HipHop the certain Flavor. Under the guidance of host Guru succeeds to the young musicians with the " volume 1 " from " Jazzmatazz " in my opinion a bridging of the generations. Page A: the Mentor Guru speaks the introduction, all participating musician are introduced. The jazz becomes motive, only one trumpet run, a loop becomes audible and simultaneous here to the mental origin of Jazzmatazz. " loungin " underlaid of fat Beats is able to blew your radio. Guru goes as a singer into action; as always self-confident and positively and its HipHop dream occurs. Jazzdinosaur Donald Byrd improvised at the trumpets and at the piano and supplies an outstanding... Read review
