...The argument of this sounstrack is passion and resuction of our lord Jesus Christ as Rock Opera that tells us in the Gospel, specially the passion, in this Opera have starrings Jesus christ and Judas the Jesus Christ's treasonous, talking with Jesus Christ's enemies, Mary of Magdala who died Jesus Christ's died, . This is an adaptation of the gospel written the lyrics by Tim Rice and the music Andrew Lloyd, this is a story telling as Judas part of the story. It was releasing at the begging of the seventies in 1975 this story went to be a movie and then it has an Spanish version with Camilo Sesto as Jesus Christ and Angela Carrasco --------------- This story had a controverse with the Catholic religion specially but after The Catholics accepted, now this Rock Opera is for moral reflexion our sins etc on Good Fridays... ...The album Antichrist Superstar-Marilyn Manson is consider a concept album.This album is a combination of the concept of the Antichrist with the title of famed musical Jesus Christ Superstar.You can feel the influence of musical in song "Angel with the Scabbed Wings" In a issue of a Kerrang! magazin edited by Manson he say the album is a tribute and inspired by the philosopher Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche. The album is cyclical, as both opening and closing seconds include the distorted phrase "When you are suffering, know that I have betrayed you." All lyrics written by Manson, except track 1 (with Ramirez) While consisting of three cycles, the album was still released on a single disc. The time has come, it is quite clear... ...Simply the Songs of Andrew Lloyd Webber is a box set of four CDs which contain fifty-five songs from fourteen different musicals. You should expect plenty of variety then. Lloyd Webber has written a huge number of musicals on a variety of topics. He's written some based on religion (Jesus Christ Superstar), some about historical figures (Evita) and some that are just collections of songs (Cats). If you like musicals, the chances are you will have seen some by him. If you don't like musicals, you're probably not going to go out and buy these CDs whatever I say about them. Some Lloyd Webber songs are fairly predictable. They follow a standard pattern of verses, so you can see the rhymes coming a mile off. Others are well-constructed, beautiful pieces of music. Since this box set is a 'best of' with such a large number of musicals... Read review
