...This score by Vangelis is far superior to his 1981 oscar winning score for Chariots of Fire because it compliments the exquisite looking images and futuristically grungy atmosphere that pervade Ridley Scotts seminal film. In fact I've never seen a film where the music fits so perfectly all the way through. From the gorgeously mystical opening synth chords accompanying those initial stunning images of 21st century LA, to the pounding, unforgettable end title. And I think the erotic and dreamy love theme played by a smoother than a baby's bum saxophone is totally spellbinding, but like the rest of the music, never intrudes on the action(like all the best scores). The soundtrack is the finishing touch to a masterpiece.... Read review
