40 Rock 'N' Roll Favourites - Various Artists

Advantages: Fun music, fun lyrics
Disadvantages: A bit rude

...Rock N Roll Cleopatra is a compilation album of some of Wayne/Jayne County's finest tracks. The album tends to focus on Wayne County pre-sex change years and full conversion to Jayne. Wayne was an interesting chap who took part in the famous Stonewall Inn riots, was an influential figure on Daid Bowie's Diamond Dogs tour and album, was an integral part of the early punk rock scene and worked as a DJ at CBGB's. O Often seen as a bit of a novelty act, I think that Wayne County & The Electric Chairs were highly under-rated and this album churns out enjoyable track after track often in various styles. The album shows a great range of styles, emotions and most of all in a light-hearted enjoyable humurous albeit somewhat crass way. Advantages: Great head banging action to be had!
Disadvantages: Some tracks a bit repetitive

...and egotistical lyrics make this song memorable and endurable, with some interesting sound effects added in for good measure. 'Roller' is another hard hitting track boasting a very active drum beat, provided by HIM's lead singer, Ville Valo. Straight forward and to the point. A perfect second track. 'Dope Danny' takes the listener on a journey from the life of a drug addict (hence the title). A little distorted for a creepy effect, this one won't win any awards for lyrics but is damn sure entertaining! Next is 'Never Been In Love (till the day I die)'. Not much to the words here but boasts a very good, hard rock feel here; great for head banging! Perhaps a little too similar to 'The King of Rock 'N Roll'. ...I got given this dvd for Christmas around 6 years ago. I recently found it in my dvd collection so I thought I would watch it again. Rock?n?Roll High School is a comedy/musical and is set in 1980 in a school in America. The main story is based around one of the pupils, Riff Randell. She is a very big rock?n?roll fan, especially music by The Ramones. Riff tries to bring music to the school and pupils by taking over the schools speaker system and playing Ramones music through it, and also by changing the music tapes in her gym class. The new head teacher of the school is convinced that rock?n?roll music is bad for the pupils and that it rots their brains.
