Advantages: Extremely nostalgic and enjoyable for everyone Disadvantages: A couple of bad song choices, but not enough to detract from the enjoyment
night, which was a mistake as I had been to the bingo and won £47 and had, subsequently, got tanked up. I woke in the morning and couldn't remember any of it, apart from a few strained memories of Noddy Holder. We did, however, get full marks on the music section, and ultimately came 9th of a possible 15. This was a success as we were all born in the 80's, and each member of the winning team were so old that when they got up to collect their prize, their artificial hips all started clicking like a ticker-tape machine. I'm exaggerating slightly, although I'm not sure they'd have done as well on a quiz about the 'nought-ies'.
Anyway, back to the DVD - a celebration of the 40thanniversary of 'Top of the Pops', released in 2004. Featuring a live (and I use the word advisedly) performance from each of the past 40 years, it offers the viewer ...
Advantages: Recognisable tunes Disadvantages: Neither fish nor foul. Best stick to the original
here, are reproductions of a single album track by track. Their output to date has been both prodigious, varied and at times esoteric with features on such names as LedZeppelin, Bjork, David Bowie, Madonna and Yanni. At the last count Vitamin Records lists 198 titles!!

On the album under review the other performers are David Davison - 1st violin - and Paul Tobias - viola and 2nd violin (hey - doesn't that make a trio?!). They are joined on three tracks variously by Dominic Hradek (cello), Wesley Hredek (violin), Johnny ...

As the name suggests, this was the 4thZeppelinalbum and the one that really illustrates the versatility of the band, encompassing elements of folk and blues as well as their trademark hippy rock.
I have never quite worked out what Black Dog is all about - apart from lauding the merits of a skinny woman and warning that big-legged women ain't got no soul. It's a quirky tune with quirky lyrics but somehow it works (8/10)
Rock And Roll could have been produced by Ronseal - it does exactly what it says on the tin. It is no more than a standard rock n roll riff with lyrics that have no real meaning but celebrate the rock n roll genre ...
