#4 - Telescopes (The)

Advantages: Another album ofr the K T fan!
Disadvantages: Perhaps not as good as Eye to the Telescope

...Drastic Fanatastic - I bought the new album by K T Tunstall last week - (a good offer by CDBAng - sign up and £2.00 off so cost £4.99 + free delivery!) I loved her album 'Eye to the Telescope' so wanted to buy this album. I had already heard the track ' Hold on' on the radio and loved it - very in the vein of 'Suddenly I see' etc. The album is growing on me - perhaps its a bit more mellow than her previously, I'm a bit of a rock chick - but is nice catchy easy listening and great guitar and at least original!. Like all albums it becomes like an old friend after a few listens - so give it a chance. Nice querky comic strip art work in inlay. Good tracks are Little Favours, Funnyman, Hopeless but the best track is 'Hold' on'. Overall I think 'Eye to the Telescope' is a superior album. If you are a fan then you can't go wrong... Advantages: Unigue sound, solid lyrics and vocals
Disadvantages: Only 12 tracks long

...I first encountered KT Tunstall on the Jools Holland show. Her music struck me as fresh and innnovative, she has a style of her own and sounds quite unlike anyone else around at the moment. I bought the CD as much out of curiosity as anything else but I was glad I did. I can't fault any of the tracks on this album at all, I found them all uniquely inspiring and lyrically excellent. The track listing is as follows: 1. Other side of the world 2. Another place to fall 3. Under the weather 4. Black Horse and the Cherry Tree 5. Miniature disasters 6. Silent Sea 7. Universe & U 8. ...Eye to the Telescope was a great album from KT Tunstall (well I thought so!) So I was really eager to add this to my collection when it was released. This is a CD/DVD set.
