50 Years of the Greatest Hit Singles was purchased for me as a christmas present by my mother two years ago, and to be totally honest i was rather dubious. At heart I am a 60's and 70's heavy rock fan, but there are certain Rock and Roll groups who's music make my spine tingle. I have to say that this double CD was the perfect blend of these age old classics, and came complete with a sprinkling of music that i myself am unlikely to ever listen to, but which will give me something to play which will appeal to the other members of my family, for special gatherings such as christmas and new year. One notable absence was music by the famous Beatles, which is a real shame but the range of music on offer more than makes up for this. I am yet to purchase the platinum edition of this album, but i am hopeful that it will be of an equal caliber and i will gladly review it when i do.
I have to thank my Mum for the great favour she did me when buying this for me, it really opened my eyes and i am sure it will do the same for many of you.

The RRP of the double album is £18.99, however i have found it for sale in 3 online stores (amazon, blah and CD WOW) for £79.. so why not grab yourselves a bargain? This is almost certainly one of the best all round musical compelations available to buy 'off the shelf' at the moment.
