Advantages: Wonderful musicianship Disadvantages: none unless you have a very narrow mind
I can't believe no one has reviewed or rated this album as yet! So, what does the name DreadZeppelin conjure up? Well, if you're thinking along thelines of Dread - could be reggae, and Zeppelin.. something to do with rock legends Led Zeppelin... you would be half way there. There's a bit more to it than that though. It is Led Zep, 'reggaefied', but with an Elvis Presley impersonator on vocals. Yep, you heard that correctly... Led Zep, reggae style with Elvis singing. Sounds nonsensical perhaps? Wrong!
Okay, the thing about this band is that they took their music very seriously... this isn't just a spoof or micky-take of Led Zep. This is a band that plays the music superbly, and actually does something you would not expect - it adds to the music of Zeppelin. Let's not forget that Zep themselves toyed with reggae a few times ...

Rock And Roll could have been produced by Ronseal - it does exactly what it says on the tin. It is no more than a standard rock n roll riff with lyrics that have no real meaning but celebrate the rock n roll genre ...

Now you?ve seen all that, you?ll have some idea how amazing this DVD set is.
I first heard about this DVD through my local cinema, The Phoenix Picture House. They were doing a special showing of a cut down version of the DVD of just over two hours? and for FREE! I demanded my ticket immediately, very gratefully of course. It was a charity event and they ran a raffle with some snazzy prizes including DVD?s, posters and inflatable zeppelins. I was gutted not to have won anything as usual, but the film would be enough and the money went to a children?s charity (I forget which one).
Nevertheless, this doesn?t tell you about the DVD.
Led Zeppelin are a classic rock group, from humble beginnings in Birmingham and Surrey to ...
