...When the band went their ways to create their solo albums, different styles emerged. With Ace, he let his hard rock persona loose and created in my opinion the best of the four albums. Thumping beats supplied by Anton Fig on Drums led the way for Ace to dish out his screeching guitar sound and unique vocal style. From the popular New York Groove to the first instrumental Fractured Mirror, Ace never lets up. Apart from Fractured Mirror, the highlight of the album is Wiped Out, starting Ace's laugh over some thumping drums. After Ace left Kiss, he tried to recreate what he had done on this album and never really succeeded - even with sequels to Fractured Mirror. Definitely the best of the bunch.... Read review

...& on the solo you can hear Ace playing up & down the guitar scales. Song 5:Whats On Your Mind? This song is another classic rock track. Song 6:New York Groove the only cover on this album was origianlly written by Russ Ballard & was a hit for a group called "Helo" This song had good chart sucess for Ace. Song 7:I'm in need of love,This song starts off rather slow then towards the end it happens Ace goes wild with a breath taking solo (probley the best on the whole album) Song 8: Wiped-Out,With a drum fill right at the start this could be a surfers song then with a giggle from Ace its off! This song features Will Lee on bass & a close friend of Ace's Anton Fig on drums(Anton also play drums for him in Frehleys Comet)Then to the last song on this album The Classic & the first of 4 parts Fractured Mirror Its a beautiful Instrumental that builds all... ...'re near me. There was also the song Everytime it Rains which made it to the top of the charts and stayed there for ages. I remember even one time my class went on a trip and everyone sung that song over and over and over until we got to the destination.
