Album Notes: Carrie Underwood and the Kung Pao Buckaroos both make guest appearances on Brad Paisley's sixth studio album, due to drop on June 19, 2007. The first single, "Ticks," is a choogling come-on featuring the quirky line "I'd like to check you for ticks."

...There's no doubt that anyone seeing a William Shatner CD for sale would just laught and walk by. And well, usually that'd be the right thing to do. But not this time! Everyone must buy this CD. The music is amazing diverse. You have rock, blues, country, and, well some that are genre-defying. Some of the music is hilarious, some energetic, and some just very real. It covers many of the events in Shatner's own life - some positive, and some that are down right depressing. And the emotion is conveyed very clearly both through the lyrics and the music. In addition, you have well known singers like BradPaisley, Ben Folds, and Henry Rollins.
If you want to hear something you've never heard before, pick this CD up. It has something for everyone, and well, I bet you'll end up loving it all!...

Advantages: Sing-a-long, soulful melodies Disadvantages: A little negative in places
...Paolo Nutini is a fresh new voice sounding out the UK's airwaves with his first album 'These Streets'. These Streets is a album with strong lyrics, the kind of lyrics you would expect from an 20 year-old lad from Paisley, Scotland.
'These Streets' has had 3 singles brought out in the singles chart. 'These Streets' is described by Nutini as "an autobiography of the last three years" and he talks of his move from Scotland to the centre of London in the 5th song on the album 'These Streets' from where the album title originates.
'Jenny Don't Be Hasty' is probably his most recognised single with a catchy tune and some deep lyrics which are possibly directed at his girlfriend Teri.
'Rewind' and 'Last Request' are two of his more downbeat songs, technically very sound, again with choruses that you will find yourself singing in the shower...

...and I think you many (though not all, I will admit) might be surprised if you gave it a chance.
Lecture over and coming down from my proverbial soapbox, ‘A Hundred Miles Or More’ is something that I would tentatively recommend. If nothing else, it’s worth trying to find a friend who has a copy that you could listen to before deciding whether or not to buy for yourself.
