...I am at home with a poorly sore throat; I looked through my CD collection and discovered a Stockton's Wing collection CD. I listened to this and now am reviewing it.
This band started by playing Irish pubs and gigs and soon progressed to playing festivals and venues in England Europe and the US. I know I have seen them play somewhere but cannot remember whether it was Cambridge, Glastonbury, or maybe some other event.
However the CD the Stockton wing collection is one I own and listen too occasionally. This CD has 20 tracks from 'Stockton's Wing', (1978)'Take a Chance'(1980) and 'Light in the Western Sky' (1982) albums. It lasts 77 minutes.
The tracks are:-

Advantages: Something new to add to your collection Disadvantages: More re-hashed stuff
...of how many different types of ways you can badly edit your own music then this is for you, however if you are like me and collect it personally as a fan of them and want to add it to your collection, then by all means please feel free to do so.
This review is being done by pulling any punches or taking any sides or favorites of either the Band or the media reviewers.
All the songs on this C/D have previously been released before on different CDs and Alien Sex Fiend's poor attempt at releasing this as something new is absolutely both shocking and disgusting. Although there are dubs and demos and live versions of certain songs here within on this disc is just plane lazy for a band who should be celebrating a 25thAnniversary.
I am sure that not even Ozzy Osbourne would stoop this low just to get some much needed cash.

...For my 100th opinion here on Ciao I thought I would have a go at something a little different from my normal opinions, and delve into to my CD collection. So go easy on me ok it’s my first one; any comments would be most welcome!
The Saw Doctors – who the heck are they? A question I asked myself as I was dragged along to Rock City one typically cold and windy night, to see yet another band I have never heard of. The Saw Doctors are Davy Carton (vocals/guitar), Leo Moran (guitar/vocals), Pearse Doherty (bass/vocals/flute/tin whistle) and John Donnelly (drums), who hail from Tuam, County Galway.
The Album Songs from Sun Street is actually the 4th one from the Saw Doctors – released in 1989.
