Singng as a lonely Tennessee drunk in a Chicago gin joint he sings his tale of woe while praying for rain to keep the grape vines going long enough to drown his sorrow. Brilliant Dino. Subtle, easy, and effortlessly enjoyable. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ The album was released a few years ago, and I know that a new double album has been released with all the tracks from this album and more, but I would suggest that unless you are looking for a definitive collection of Dino songs, this might be the album for you. Advantages: Bringing real music back to the masses
Disadvantages: Could be viewed as a novelty by some

...At last an establish star who wishes to turn back the clock and introduce new generations to the wonderful melodies and lyrics of yesteryear. Having been a fan of Sinatra,Dean Martin and ilk for some considerable time I was always a constant source of amusement to those of my generation who sought solace in the sounds of glam rock or heavy metal. Now that they are in their forties I get the chance to say, in Sinatra style of course, "who has the last laugh now". As for style and performance Robbie is faultless and manages to capture the mood of the music perfectly. Like most swing it is how you swing and sing' it, rather than the quality of the voice. What great saloon singers lost in voice quality was always compensated by style. But as much as I admire the bravery of Robbie for departing from his normal sound to something so... Read review

Advantages: 30 classic hits on one budget priced album nicely made
Disadvantages: Not remastered but not that bad really it as sounds fine

...Dino Paul Crocetti, or Dean Martin as we all know him, member of the original Rat Pack, was one of the greatest performers of his time. I purchased this CD in Virgin some time ago now, so I don't know what the going rate online for this album currently is. There are many places you can look for cheap CDs but it isn't my job to list websites, but to review this compilation CD. First of all, I'm not sure how many young people Dean would appeal to. I think the younger generation ought to be introduced to him and this album is the perfect introduction. It has all his number one hits, some obscure songs and my personal favourite, Volare. Sadly, this compilation is not remastered in any way, but in some ways it adds to the closeness you feel while listening to the album. You feel he is in the same room with you. I think this album...
