Advantages: A great tribute to the adventure scores of the 1930's.
Disadvantages: The constant action and too loyal a following of the Williams tradition can deter some people

...personally find it quite enjoyable, though some people don't seem to enjoy the interpretation. For my money, I would recommend Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow to anyone enjoying good, old fashioned orchestral film music, that tosses subtlety out of the window and indulges you in an hour's worth of good fun and nostalgia. Advantages: great melodies
Disadvantages: some weak songs

...Vanishing point is an excellent album from the primal scream boyz, it has a rebellious feel as it is based on the tale of an american outlaw called Kowalski. The album has a variety of other influences, If they move kill em ‘ is based on the Nazi Stuka squadrons, ( a german tank busting plane the junkers ju 87). Burning Wheel opens up the album with an epic melanchonic feel with some inspirng lyrics and melodies. Star is in a similar vein and is one of the poppiest songs the screm have produced.... ...first heard it, I still listen to it regularly and enjoy it, and I would recommend it to the following people: If you like Olive, you probably own this already. If you like Goldie, Groove Armada or Basement Jaxx, have a listen. If you like Morcheeba and Zero7 but need some music for the gym, have a listen. If you like Mariah Carey or Britney, erm… Congratulations on reading so many words all-at-once; I don't think this is music for you, so go watch some more Big Brother. Interested?
