Album Notes: '66 BREAKOUT is a collection of early (pre-Elektra Records) MC 5 material.
Album Reviews: Alternative Press (1/00, p.93) - 4 out of 5 - "...the nuggets remaining from [MC5's] search...for their own voice...are interesting....[Wayne] Kramer and Fred 'Sonic' Smith are even here already showing the beginnings of their plan for total sonic terror..."

Advantages: Great songs. Disadvantages: None at all.
...It is rare that you hear these songs on radio and I only got this album after hearing breakout in the hope that all the other songs where as good. I was amazed they where all nearly as good if not better than the original song I had heard.
This is the Foo Fighters newest album including songs such as Breakout, Generator and Learn to Fly. In my opinion it is their best album to date full to bursting of brilliant songs ranging from the slow quiet songs to huge fast paced and full of life songs....

Advantages: AMAZING Disadvantages: The cover isn't very attractive
...This Cd is absolutely amazing. There are 3 songs from the album that have been released (at least that I can think of) which are Breakout, Learn to fly, and next year. They are all amazing songs. I can't remember any of them doing particularly well in the charts, but it is really the women and children that tend to buy singles (see there IS a reason why we had number 1s by westlife, spice girls, a1 and bob the builder!) but recently on radio 1, they were doing a poll to see the best songs of the year, (four in each group) breakout, a song from the latest Jim Carrey Movie "Me, Myself and Irene" came first with competition against Britney Spears "Oops I did it again", Black Legend "You see the trouble with me" and Sisqo's "Thong Song". If you like Learn to Fly, Breakout or Next year, you will LOVE this Cd. It's brilliant....

Advantages: Most tracks are really good Disadvantages: none
...This is a great album! Every track is listenable (unlike some CDs that tail off towards the end). My favourite track just has to be the brilliant, the musically perfect, “Breakout”! “Breakout” is the track that induced me to buy this album. I had previously seen the accompanying video on MTV2. For those of you that have seen the video, that little guy is really funny with his popcorn bit! The other track that I think is outstanding is “M.I.A”. “M.I.A” is the last track on this 11 track album. This CD also has a really good enhanced part (Stuff to play on your computer). It contains the video for “Learn to fly” (great video), the lyrics, some photos, web links and a short video of that bad boy drummer doing a huge burp!...
