Advantages: Good catchy tune Disadvantages: Lyrics are a cross between New Labour propaganda and Kilroy.
...I am not a fan of Savage Garden, mainly owing to the whiney, corny singing voice, but I must admit that Crash and Burn was not too bad. 'Affirmation', however, first inflicted itself on my ears whilst driving, and in the unfortunate absence of a sick bucket, I had to listen to it all the way through in disbelief.
OK, the tune is good. It is catchy, upbeat and very memorable. But the lyrics! For crying out loud!
Examples: 'I believe your most attractive feature is your heart and soul' (shouldn't that be 'features are'?)and even worse 'I believe that beauty magazines promote low self-esteem'. Oh, purleese!! Who in the name of God do they think they are - Tony Blair? This chunder-instigating political correctness must have been written by the nanny-state as a subtle way of infiltrating the minds of the listening public. The old rubbish...

Advantages: It's by Primal Scream - an advantage in itself Disadvantages: Not quite up to the standard of the previous album
...the Primals back to their very best, will Bobby Gillespie almost whispering under the music before letting rip with the chore lyric of 'Shake it baby' as the track collapses into a nasty industrial mess. It's like Accelerator from the previous album, but darker. Much darker.
Next up is Autobahn 66, again relying on electronic sound and keyboards but in a more interesting way than the first track on the album. Given a slight tweak it could be My Bloody Valentine - the first apparent stamp of that band's Kevin Shields writ large on Evil Heat, as Shields produced a number of tracks here (although oddly not Autobahn 66).
Detroit again goes for the jugular in the same was as Miss Lucifer, but without the haste, Gillespie's lyric more pronounced and crucial to the track. Rise follows - the track previously titled Bomb The Pentagon. I had heard...

Advantages: Fabulous Musical Score and Tunes thats will get you Dancing in Your Seat. Disadvantages: None really, Just wish there was more on the albulm!
...This is a wonderful CD that you can play in your car, kitchen CD player or on your MP3 player and it will have you bopping to the sounds of "ShBoom" and "Routee 66" until you collapse on the floor. There are not many songs that you can sing along to, about five in total out of the whole soundtrack, but these were well picked and if you liked them in the film you will love listening to them on your radio or MP3 player.
My favourites from this soundtrack is Routee 66, Sh Boom and Life is a Highway. The scores are also great to listen to and can put you in a relaxing mood, and some even remind me of the scenes from the movie whilst i was listening.
The product itself when i purchased it was not of a high quality, the CD case was flimsy and the inside could have been made to look more interesting, with prehaps characters from the film, so...
