...This is a very good Sountrack, and has some of the best music from the 70's on it. Artists featured on this disc are: David Bowie - with the song Life on Mars? which inspired the name of the show. Roxy Music, Paul MCcartney, ELO, T.Rex, Sweet, Thin Lizzy, Slade, and more. It also has on it various dialogue from the series. On the very last Epilogue on the disc (number 23), it has on it a hidden extra. If you fast forward a little bit, you will soon come to the Theme Music of actual series itself. Its a fun CD, and all the tunes on it are tipical of the 1970's. It realy brings the series to life and gives you a great listen.... Read review

Advantages: An inexpensive compilation featuring classic tracks.
Disadvantages: You may already have some of the many tracks.

...As I had already purchased the 60's & 70's version of this compilation and found it not only good to use to set questions for music quizzes but also good to listen to, I decided to buy this set when I saw it in the shops. At a price of £19.95 but this time for only 8 CDs with less tracks it does not represent as good value if you simply compare the price/number of tracks ratio. However the overall quality and choice of songs makes it at least equal in value to its forerunner. Again many classic tracks (all original recordings) are featured and amongst the artistes are Kim Wilde, Culture Club, Blondie, Spandau Ballet, Duran Duran,Eddie Grant, Kate Bush and Dr. Hook to name but a few....
