Advantages: Every number is memorable. Disadvantages: none
...There's no other film series in the history of cinema that has as much consistently good music and particularly title themes/songs as Bond. If you listen to this compilation you won't get bored for a second, every ones a winner, from Dame Shirley singing Goldfinger like theres no tomorrow to McCartney's thumpingly good Live & Let Die - (one of his best post Beatles numbers!). We also have the sheer delights of Satchmo singing for me the most beautiful Bond song - We Have all the Time in the World, from Her Majesty's Secret Service and Carly Simons excellent rendition of Marvin Hamlisch's Nobody Does it Better (Spy who Loved Me). But for me what stands out about this record is just how brilliant John Barry is as a tunesmith (he wrote most of the stuff on here) and I have to say with little exception the music has gone seriously...

Advantages: Nearly 30 years of rock's seminal singer-songwriter Disadvantages: None
...Bob Dylan had achieved legendary status by the early 70s, not just through the quality of his groundbreaking music and songwriting, but as it was long rumoured that some of the material he had recorded and stored in the vaults put some of the disappointing official releases well and truly in the shade. Advantages: Valhalla - absolutely the best song on this album and worth all the money Disadvantages: some weaker songs "Hall of the King", "Damned for all Time"
...me?"
The last track of the album is of a funny nature: Blind Guardian did a cover of the Beach Boys "Barbara Anne"!!! They had some guest singers for that track and it's always fun to see people's reaction when they listen to that tune for the first time! As the fans loved this song it still ends every Blind Guardian concert with a great party, the fans jumping and dancing and singing along "Barbara Anne"...
The cover was done by Waay Design who also did the cover for the debut and shows the dark guardian, who appeared on most of the following releases, for the first time.
Though there are way better album by Blind Guardian "Follow the Blind" is still a good album compared with other band's works....
