Advantages: Fresh voice on the hip hop scene just what it needed Disadvantages: Too many skits and too many tracks put in simply to make up the numbers
...Kanye makes a great dbut considering he had been passed up by so many other labels e.g. capital, before being snapped up by Jay-z and roc-a-fella. It is apparent that Kanye is a producer rapper with an eye for a beat, not necessarily a bad thing! Kanye's songs in this album bring a fresh air to the hip hop scene.
I decided to review this album after reviewing his second album because i simply forget it was on the site. Track by track analysis: (i won't review the skits)

...is a censored version. The lyrics in this cd show a hole new side to hip-hop and are a complement to Kanye west and Roc-A-Fella Records.
Competition
Compared to the competition Kanye west blows them away with this album it shows a softer side to hip-hop which many people will think is a much better side I no I do.
Value for money
As far as value for money goes you cant do much better than this this is possibly one of the best albums of the past decade in my opinion this is a must have.

Advantages: Awesome Production, Twista's On-Point Flow, Some Pretty Good Songs, One Great Song, No Skits Disadvantages: Commercialism (THAT'S RIGHT), Bad Subject Matter, Mainly Horrible Guest Appearances, Weak Song-Writing / Lyricism
...Twista has been one of those emcees who hasn't quite broken into the mainstream yet. Though he has done a lot of relatively known collaborations with several mainstream rappers (Jay-Z and Drag-On come to mind), most of the commercial fanbase hasn't really paid much attention to the Chicago native. A lot of people consider him a "new artist", when in fact he has been around for over 8 years in hip-hop. Twista's unique, triple-cadence rhyme style has garnered him the title of being the "fastest rapper alive" in the Guiness Book of World Records, which is quite an accolade (I've heard Bizzy Bone rap even faster, and believe he is worthy of that title). After record company problems plagued his career, Twista has finally inked a deal and released Kamikaze in early 2004. After hooking up with producer Kanye West, will Twista finally drop...

Advantages: 14 out of 15 excellent tracks Disadvantages: none
...This is one of his flawless albums,
Firstly if you haven't listened to twista then your missing out, he is a very good hip-hop artist, my sister introduced me to his music last year and I was annoyed I hadn't heard him sooner, but now I have, I listen to his music all the time,
14 out 15 are in my hip-hop favorites list on my ipod, they don't sound similar in anyway, the tracks have unique sounds with his flowing really well . Some good artists have collaborated with him on the tracks and it really is a must have album.
If you love hip-hop then this album must be in your collection. my personal fav's are 1-5 and 7-15 but im not a fan of track 6.
The best tracks of all is track 1,2 and 3.
1. The Day After
2. Check That Hoe
3. Chocolate Fe's and Red bones feat Johnny P

Advantages: Original, something fresh in Hip Hop now. Disadvantages: Not many tracks will stick in your head
...this area of America aids him in his efforts.
As Lil' Wayne is from New Orleans, Louisiana, you can feel the influence of jazz, as this city was one of the pioneering locations for it. It makes this track very funky, and forces you to boogie along with it.
I felt that this was one of the stronger tracks from the album, as Lil' Wayne is having his most successful year, being named as The #1 Rapper in The Game 2007 this year, being included on this album is only improving Twista's album.
7. "No Pistols" (feat. Slipknot Mobstaz)
**Three Stars**
This is another Toxic production, with the Slipknot Mobstaz as featured artists. I had never heard of these before, and I cannot find any information on them, so they must be new-comers to the game.
This track has a Hispanic feel to it as the instruments used for the beat includes traditional Latin...
