made a string of well-received albums with his young band, featuring keyboardist Lyle Mays, Pat Metheny (a former Gary Burton sideman) had graduated to the front rank of youthful jazz and fusion guitarists. A warm player with a harmonically sophisticated approach to soloing, Methany's breezy compositions made him easily approachable for casual listeners, but belied the complexity of much of the music.80/81is Metheny's musical bar mitzvah: a chance to step up and be counted among the men of the congregation. Instead of his usual band of contemporaries, Metheny opts to work out with four of jazz's most respected graybeards: bassist Charlie Haden, drummer Jack DeJohnette and saxophonists Dewey Redman and Mike Brecker. That both Haden and Redman are long associated with Ornette Coleman is represented by a cover of Coleman's "Turnaround", a surprising move that augured Metheny's own future collaboration with the alto legend (onSong X). Still, in the final analysis, Metheny is the leader and the band plays his music.--Fred Goodman

Advantages: CD can be used as a wall decoration or disco ball alternative Disadvantages: horrid - a true torture tune 68 minutes i wont forget!
- i adore saxaphone with a slow and soulful expression which unfortunately this album lacks completely.
This is a type of modern music jazz which trys an alternative approach to funk jazz - it's a type i havent come across before and honestly can say did not enjoy one little bit. True to say it's being a bit ambitiousand attemps to delivery jazz on the front line.
Unfortunaltely it didnt do anything for me and I won't be making the mistake of buying anything from PatMetheny in the future.
There is a variety of instruments used throughout the 68 min duration - of which make a horrid racket in an attempt to experimentally modernise jaz. This is something that shouldn't really be attempted. Jazz is as it is, a soulful and expressional artform that does not require tinkering or 'hipping' up to ''get down with the kids''.

Postman Pat - Special Delivery Service (SDS)...
Postman Pat seems to have got far better working conditions than ever before and this is clearly shown in his brand new children's television programme aired on BBC2 weekday mornings at 8.30am. Jack and I think that the whole show is truly brilliant and we have even set our set top box to record every episode as we are both well and truly hooked. (Especially as "Pat" is one of a limited number of words that Jack has in his vocabulary!).
Now the Postman Pat of old used to drive a small red van delivering letters of maybe even small packages. This new series shows Pat delivery some of the most strangest things from bouncy castles to cattle! It appears that Postman Pat has got a promotion and is now Head of the Special Delivery Service meaning that he is the proud user ...
Advantages: The different challenges you keep facing Disadvantages: Sometimes no break between one challenge to another
Postman Pat is a children?s television programme which has gone on for many years now. Recently it has been upgraded quite a bit and has more graphics added to it.
They brought out a game which tries to copy the television show on the Nintendo Ds Console which I am admitting to playing purely because it was there and I wanted something fun to play.
The Game
The game is all about Postman Pat as you might have guessed. You begin doing some challenges in this story mode feature.
You get to see Postman Pat and his mail and the first few challenges are to do with catching mail which is flying around and trying to put it back into the sack for which they flew away from.
Another challenge shortly after is when you need to place parcels into his van before the clock runs out.
Each level you do has a set target score you need ...
