A1 are another example of the growing trend of manufactured pop group. They have no talent at singing and are chosen as "pop stars" just because of their looks. Their first few singles never reached a high place and they only managed to get a number 1 hit by singing Pet Shop Boys "Take On Me". This prooves that they are uncapable of getting a number 1 by themselves. They had another number 1 hit as well but this single was rubbish and didnt deserve to get to number one and only did so because of immature little people who thinks the single is good and also because no other decent artists had released any singles at the same time.

Advantages: They make good music worth listening to. Disadvantages: Their boy band image will not appeal to a lot of people and their music can be very 'soppy'.

Advantages: You Only Tell Me You Love Me When You're Drunk is a greatly song - simultaneously funny and depressing. The B-SIdes and live tracks are good,.. Disadvantages: ...it's a shame all the mixes couldn't have been up to the standard of those by Brother Brown.
