Advantages: a different voice in music, great singer, some great songs, lyrics supplied in cd inlay Disadvantages: a couple more upbeat tracks wouldn't go amiss!, underrated artist
and tremblin', smoking cigarettes at night, wondering where you been" but also admits "no it ain't healthy, smokin', gotta quit." Other songs are less depressing - more sensual, for example, in the opening track "My Place", or more romantic like the beautiful, emotion-packed "Always Will". But the pain evident in Tweet's voice in the angry "Motel" packs more of a punch than the feelings in any of the other tracks, as she realises that her man has been unfaithful to her.
Of course, there can be such a thing as emotional overload and Tweet and her producers evidently realised this as there are moments of light relief, a break from the intensity of the slower tunes. Take Tweet's most famous hit for example - the disturbingly hypnotic "Oops (Oh My)". Is it or isn't it about masturbation? I personally think it is, but it is a matter up for debate, as ...
Advantages: I Like Them Disadvantages: You Might Not
1. "You're on my heart just like a tattoo"- I like this line as it shows how much Jordin Sparks likes this person, also I like this line because well the whole song speaks to me. It seems as though the words that I have thought through my head once or twice before have been noted down into the form of notes and words sung.
2. "You know I'd walk a thousand miles if I could just see you.... tonight"- Yes I know one of them "girl things" but I like the way Vanessa Carlson has put across that she would do anything to see her man. Also that she doesn't care what she has to do to go to see him it shows that her love is powerful for this man as she doesn't care what she has to do to see her man.
3. "Power in the money, money in the power"-Coolio knew what he was talking about. Everyone knows that money is power as people who have a lot ...
Advantages: Contains songs that are rarely heard now Disadvantages: Couple of poor songs
This is a good CD and one that any Orangeman will enjoy. This includes some classic Orange songs that you will be familiar with and others that you won't be. Which is always good to find new songs that you can sing along too. My favourite track has to be "The Union Cruiser" which is great and also menitions a lot of good loyal places in Ulster. Also in my favourites are the first track "On Boyne's Red Shore" which is enjoyable listening to the facts before going into the song. Also enjoyable songs are, Lurgan Town, Battle of Garvagh, Crimson Banner and the final track with the fife and drum is just excellent. This is one CD that any Orangeman or woman can buy and should have in their collection ...
