Advantages: Well produced, clear message, feat. Brooke Fraser Disadvantages: Dissapinting versions of the two best known songs
...Tim Hughes new album 'Holding Nothing Back' is a real testament to the Christian faith.
The opening track 'Happy Day' (well known to all Soul Survivor goers) is a positive message about the hope that Christian's have. Hughes includes two tracks 'Almighty God' and 'Be My Everything' which have already been out for a year or two now. These two songs have been changed from their original setting and for me this doesn't really come off.
The whole album is passionate about the Good News that Jesus brings and Hughes humbleness is portrayed throughout. 'Clinging to the Cross' is the finest example of this. His collaboration with Brooke Fraser in this track works a treat and this is arguably the song of the album.
This is a fantastic worship album and recommended to all Christians and those who want to discover more about the Christian...

Advantages: Sean Harris - 1 TRACK! Disadvantages: Overblown, indulgent, Very Disappointing
...Once and Future King Part 1
This CD is the first of 2 which between them constitute a "concept album" Like many rock bands have done before, Gary Hughes (the lead singer with a very good group called TEN) decided to have a try on his own. Rather predictably chose Arthurian Legend (King Arthur, Lancelot, Guinevere etc) as his subject material. (what is it with rock bands and King Arthur, sheesh! - be original!).
Hughes gathered together some great voices for his idea, including Sean Harris from Diamond Head, Bob Catley (tell me you know who this is!!!), of Magnum fame, and Lana Lane to name a few. Each singer played a part, a character, (Merlin, Lancelot, Arthur, Gueneviere etc), and singing the songs through the album as it tells the story of the female betrayal and majic and intrigue, all pretty standard for an Arthurian tale...

Advantages: entertaining, good dance songs, nice ballads Disadvantages: if you don't know the film you might not enjoy it that much
...After seeing the film, I just had to go and buy the soundtrack. I had it now for a few months and I still love to listen to it regularly.
The film begins with the song “POP! Goes my heart.” Which meant, I was in stitches already 5 Minutes into the film. So there is no surprise that the first song on the soundtrack is “POP! Goes my heart.” It’s so very 80 ties and each time I hear it, I see Hugh Grant with his 80 ties haircut singing it. Brilliant! It is really Hugh Grant singing on the CD, which is reason enough to purchase this CD. The song might not get a placing in the top 10 charts these days but it has a lot of comedy value and it sticks in your head.
The second song is “Buddha’s Delight” which is sung by Haley Bennett. It’s a great song for dancing, quite sexy. It really gets those hips moving. - One of my favourites on the CD...
